Alicia's Story

Alicia has been battling cancer for a number of years.  A single mother with a 12 year old son, Alicia works full time and receives chemotherapy once a week.  Her co-workers drive her to her treatments and stay with her when they can, to keep her company.

Her friends and co-workers wanted to be able to do more for her.  They knew that when Alicia was done with a long day of work, she had no energy to make healthy, nutritious dinners for her and her son, but in order for her to keep up her strength, she needed to be eating.  One of her co-workers contacted Entrees4U to see if we could help Alicia with easy meal preparation, so she could concentrate on rest and recovery.

Alicia has a standing account with Entrees4U.  Friends, family and co-workers call and add money to her account so she can purchase meals each month.  She usually purchases a 6 entree regular package along with some sides and desserts.  Entrees4U then delivers them to her at work once a month.  The meals are easy enough that her son can prepare them and clean up is a breeze since everything is packaged in disposable containers. And she is able to feed her son delicious food in the comfort of their own home.  His favorite is Pesto Parmesan Chicken and we even make it for her when it is not on our monthly menu.

Entrees4U is happy to be able to help Alicia and others like her.  We love visiting with her each month and catching up.  And we are glad to be able to make her life a little easier.
